Deenly does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. All data remains locally on your device. We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, or any tracking tools.
The app requests location access for one purpose only:
Important: Location data is processed entirely on your device. It is NEVER sent to any server, cloud, or third party. You can deny location permission and still use manual location entry.
The 3D Qibla compass uses your device's magnetometer and accelerometer sensors. This data is processed locally and is not accessible to us or any third party. No sensor data is ever recorded or transmitted.
🎧 Tilawat (Quran Recitation) Privacy
The Tilawat feature streams Quranic recitations by Sheikh Al Sudais. Audio streaming uses your internet connection but no personal data is collected. We do not track which Surahs you listen to, how long you listen, or any listening patterns. No audio is stored permanently on your device.
The Hadith collection is stored locally within the app. No internet connection is required to read Hadiths. We do not track which Hadiths you read, your bookmarks, favorites, or how much time you spend in the app. Everything stays on your device.
Prayer time calculations are performed locally on your device using your GPS coordinates or manually entered location. No location data ever leaves your device. The app uses established Islamic calculation methods (Karachi, MWL, ISNA) which are built into the app.
The app uses Android's alarm manager to schedule prayer and Sehri/Iftar notifications. No data about your alarm settings or notification interactions is collected. All scheduling is handled locally on your device. The smart alarm system works even in deep sleep mode without sending any data externally.
Permissions Explained
Location: Used only for prayer times & Qibla (local processing only)
Internet: Used only for Tilawat streaming and app updates
Notifications: Used for prayer alarms (optional, user-controlled)
Our app is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. Since we collect no data at all, children can use the app with complete privacy and safety. Parents can feel confident letting their children use Deenly.
Because we collect no data, there is no risk of data breach, hacking, or unauthorized access. All app functionality works offline or with minimal internet for Tilawat streaming. Your privacy is 100% protected by design. We follow Android security best practices and keep the app updated.
